This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our expanding independent practice in Melton Mowbray – full or part time
Having outgrown our current premises in Melton Mowbray, we are moving to a brand-new veterinary hospital and are seeking an additional RVN to join the team.
We welcome applications from candidates who are keen to be involved in all aspects of small animal veterinary nursing, bringing new ideas and motivation to the current close-knit team. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a hospital environment.
A number of our RVNs are certificate holders; we actively encourage and fund these. In addition to a generous personal CPD allowance, we hold regular in-house CPD days for the whole team to continually improve and advance our standards. The whole team has access to Vetstream.
All our practices have been accredited through the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and we pride ourselves on providing our own out-of-hours service to our clients. With dedicated night nurses, there are no routine weeknights on call in this role. However, we do expect participation in our 1:5 Saturday and Sunday rota (though currently 1:7), along with an equal share of bank holiday cover.
Our full-time nurses work 4 days a week on an 8:00pm – 6:00pm or 8:30am – 6:30pm shift pattern with paid lunch breaks. Rotating between inpatient, theatre and consulting roles throughout the week, nurses can get involved in a varied caseload of small animals.
