Overview: 
Develop your confidence in diagnosing cruciate disease and recommending the most appropriate treatment choice, as well as gain practical skills to perform cruciate surgery in practice.

Programme Outline:
Cruciate disease is the single most common source of hindlimb lameness in dogs. These cases can be managed well by competent clinicians in good first opinion practices and therefore represent a large income stream to be kept in-house. 

  • A review of cruciate disease and management.
  • Clinical examination of the hindlimb.
  • Diagnostic investigation and factors affecting cruciate disease.
  • Discussion of treatment options including surgical and osteotomy.
  • Post-operative care and long-term management.

Please Note: This is a wet lab course. You will be required to attend with the suitable resources to participate in the practical elements of this course, including limb for dissection.
